about dr. anna schultz
Dr. Schultz was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but spent the majority of her childhood in Newnan. She received her pre-doctoral education at Marquette University, graduating Cum Laude in 2007, with a major in English Literature and a minor in Biological Sciences. In 2008, Dr. Schultz entered dental school at the Georgia Health Sciences University College of Dental Medicine, and received her doctoral degree in 2012. She then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Rochester Eastman Institute for Oral Health in 2013.
Dr. Schultz has been in private practice in the Newnan, Peachtree City, and Buckhead areas since 2013. She is a volunteer at the Coweta Samaritan Dental Clinic, where she enjoys spending time with students in dental assisting school and caring for Coweta county’s underserved. She also hosts interns each semester from West Georgia Tech’s Dental Assisting Program, so that they can experience great on-the-job training.
Dr. Schultz has since continued her involvement with organized dentistry and scholarship, serving as the Co-Editor for the Northern District Dental Society newsletter, the author of several different dental publications, and a contributing author for Dr. Ronald Goldstein’s book, Esthetics in Dentistry.
I believe in a quality approach to dentistry—from the warmth you feel when you come into our office and the friendliness of our team, to the time we spend with you to ensure that your needs are met—we aim to create long-lasting relationships with our patients, so that you’ll enjoy your visits to the dentist!
Dr. Schultz is also committed to advanced continuing education. To that end, she is a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the Northern District Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Hinman Dental Society, and the Seattle Study Club. As a member of these organizations, she attends lectures on the latest advances and technology in the practice of dentistry.
An artist at heart, Dr. Schultz found the perfect balance of medicine and design when she founded Schultz Family Dental in 2017. She practices dentistry with a discerning eye for detail and aims for quality treatment that exceeds her patient’s expectations.
Dedicated to a healthy lifestyle, you can usually find Dr. Schultz working out or on her bike, spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, or pretty much anything else. She likes to keep life interesting!
Kristie
Office Manager
Kristie is our Office Manager. She originally hails from Vermont, but grew up in Florida. She moved to Newnan in 2005 with her husband, son, daughter, and beloved dogs. Kristie has been in the dental field since 1988, and received her certifications through the University of Florida Dental School Continuing Education Program.
Over her career, she has accepted and mastered many positions within the dental profession–including dental assistant, receptionist, insurance and finance coordinator, and office manager. Kristie joined our team in January of 2020, and she is very dedicated to helping patients with any need–whether it be clinical, financial, treatment, or insurance-related.
When she’s not serving our patients, Kristie enjoys church and faith-based activities, spending quality time with her family, traveling, camping, and reading. She has a true passion for life, for her career, and for people–and we love her energy!
Kelly
Front Desk Administrator
Kelly is our Front Desk Administrator. She is relatively new to the dental field, but is a veteran to customer service and office management. Kelly, a Pennsylvania native, studied Strategic Communications at Pennsylvania State University. Prior to joining the Schultz Family Dental team, Kelly spent 13 years working with military families in the privatized military housing sector. She’s a mother of two, and a proud Army (Veteran) wife to her husband of 20 years!
Outside of Schultz Family Dental, Kelly is an avid Netflixer with a proclivity for a docuseries, a Red Card-carrying Target enthusiast, and a general lover of life!
Megan
Dental Hygienist
Megan Burson is one of our full-time hygienists at Schultz Family Dental.
Megan has been in the field of dentistry since 2008. She graduated from Clayton State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Over the course of her career, Megan has worked as a front office assistant, chair-side dental assistant, and currently, as a dental hygienist. She also teaches Dental Hygiene at Clayton State University one day a week, which allows her to mentor soon-to-be graduates while keeping her on the cutting edge of her specialty. Megan has been a part of the team at Schultz Family Dental since January 2018 and loves that it allows her to achieve her personal goals while working with a team that is constantly committed to advancing their knowledge and skillsets. She enjoys providing top-quality care through gentle, yet thorough visits.
In her spare time, Megan loves spending time with her daughter, Sadie, being outdoors, and making crafts.
Dawn
Dental Hygienist
Dawn McCraw is one of our full-time hygienists at Schultz Family Dental.
Originally from Illinois, Dawn graduated from Dental Hygiene school in 2003. She has been practicing for over 17 years and has worked in almost every type of dental office–from general dentistry to pediatric and periodontal offices. Dawn’s passion as a dental professional is not just to help patients smile, but to give patients their BEST smile–and that’s why she loves what she does! Dawn has lived in Georgia for over 11 years, and in Newnan for over six years. She loves spending free time with her family, friends, and fur babies. She also loves being active, traveling to new places, and trying new recipes!
Kristin
Dental Hygienist
Kristin has been a dental hygienist for many years, graduating from Carroll Technical Institute with an Associate in Applied Technology in Dental Hygiene in 1997. She enjoys the opportunities that Dental Hygiene gives her: meeting new people, enhancing her patients’ best features (their smiles) and sharing her passion for all things health! With attention to detail and desire to give the best possible care, Kristin sends every patient home with a thorough cleaning and an honest view of their oral health. That is why her patients love her so much!
Newnan natives, Kristin and her husband, Seth, have raised three beautiful children: Hunter, Morgan and Easton. They have two fur babies: Rudy and Nash, and a yard of chickens. In her free time, Kristin enjoys traveling, gardening and spending time outdoors with her family and pups. She is also a new grandma to daughter Hunter and husband Sheldon’s beautiful baby girl, Margot–and is loving every minute!
Christina
Dental Assistant
Christina Wilson is our lovely Dental Assistant. She graduated from Georgia Medical Institute in 2005 and has many years of experience in the dental field. Her favorite part about working with our patients is helping them overcome their fear of dentistry, and she’s great at it—she will make you feel completely at ease. She loves seeing a patient’s new confidence and dazzling smile after treatment is complete!
Christina lives in Zebulon with her husband, Wade, and their three children, Kayla, Anna Lee, and Beau. Her free time is spent watching her children’s activities (which is by far her favorite!), spending time with family and friends, relaxing by any kind of water, and of course, shopping!
Brittany
Dental Assistant
Brittany is our newest Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. She graduated from West Georgia Technical College in July of 2020. Brittany has a love and drive for dentistry, and is very passionate about her career. She loves getting to know our patients, helping them feel comfortable, watching smiles transform with every appointment, and being a part of our amazing dental family.
Aside from dentistry, Brittany loves spending time with her family. She and her fiancé have two boys, Liam and Weylen, and also live with her sister, Mya. They enjoy fun, busy activities with their kids, and also trying new restaurants and foods.
